When you’re young, if you fall off a horse you bounce. At my age, you splatter.

As a trainer I always try to inspire and connect with my students individually. One, who is incredibly gifted in the arts is someone who I trade equine poetry with every time we have a lesson. Another, a young boy who gets frustrated that he isn’t learning as fast as his sister, I tell him stories of the young boys who were the Pony Express riders. Yet another who felt they were not inspired by modern riding disciplines, I am teaching to joust. Teaching people to ride and training riders to compete is not just about drilling routines and skills into them. It is about installing a true passion of horses in their soul. - Ryn
If we have trained our horse not only in principals of equitation and in the discipline we have chosen for them, but also in horsemanship and correct ground manners, should we ever need a bit more severe than a snaffle?
So over the next day or two I will be uploading equitation patterns here as I am am putting together a book of the patterns I use for my apprentices.
